Waste collection in Strathfield Council may be delayed by a few hours on Friday 11 – Tuesday 15 March, due to accessing landfills in flooded areas. If your collection day falls during this period, be sure to put your bins out as usual and do not bring them in until they are emptied, which may be mid-late afternoon.

This is a result of the severe weather and flooding which has had an unprecedented impact on Sydney and regional NSW’s waste infrastructure, including transport of waste by road and rail as well as access to Sydney’s transfer station networks and landfills.

Council anticipates that usual access to waste infrastructure will be restored by Tuesday 15 March.
