An amendment is proposed to Section 3 (Applications to be Referred to the Panel) of the Strathfield Local Planning Panel (SLPP) Charter.
Specifically, the amendments will require that the following applications will be referred to the SLPP:
- Development applications and section 4.55 modification applications involving Class 1 to 10 buildings with a Capital Investment Value (CIV) between $2 – $4 million and have three (3) or more unresolved objections
- Any application which seeks alterations and/or additions to any Heritage Item or a property located within a Heritage Conservation Area, with the exception of:
a) Land or strata subdivision of an existing or an already approved development,
b) Change of use or fit out of a property/tenancy; or extension of operation;
c) Signage; and
d) Modification of consent involving alterations and additions.
The amendment to the SLPP Charter will be on public exhibition from Tuesday 4 June to Friday 5 July 2019 at Councils Customers Service Centre, 65 Homebush Road, Strathfield from 8:30am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
The exhibition materials will also be displayed:
- on Council’s website
- at Strathfield Main Library, 65-67 Rochester Street, Homebush (during library open hours); and
- at High Street Community Library, 64 High Street, Strathfield (during library open hours).
Any person can make a submission in writing on the amendment to the SLPP Charter during the exhibition period.
Submissions must be lodged with Council no later than 5pm on Friday 5 July 2019 and should be addressed to the CEO, Strathfield Council.
