PROPOSAL: Section 4.55(2) Modification Application to DA0102/434 to increase hours of operation to permit 24/7 operation and increase the total off-street car parking spaces from thirty (30) to thirty-one (31).

A Section 4.55(2) Modification Application in relation to the subject site and pursuant to the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 has been lodged by Boral Resources (NSW) Pty Ltd and received by Council to Carry out alterations and additions to the existing concrete batching plant.

This application is seeking to increase hours of operation and increase the total off-street car parking spaces from thirty (30) to thirty-one (31).

It has now been established that the development is Designated Development thus is to be re-notified and advertised for a period of 28 days. Any written submissions should be made to Council during this period.

If the modification application is approved, there is no right of appeal to the Court by an Objector.

If you have already made a submission on the above application, this remains valid and will be considered in the assessment, however you may wish to consider making a further submission now that the design has been amended and the development is identified as Integrated Development.

Should you wish to make a written submission, the grounds of any submission to the development should be clearly stated with your name and address printed on the letter. If you do not provide your details, your submission will be included and considered, however we will not be sending an acknowledgement letter and you will not be informed of the outcome.

It should be noted that submissions will be made publicly available and may be referred to in a report to Council.  Submissions should quote the DA reference number and Address at the top of this letter and be addressed to the General Manager and posted or sent by email to council@strathfield.nsw.gov.au before 5:00pm on 16 October 2023.

Please note that a person who makes a submission may also need to disclose reportable political donations and gifts made to a Councillor or employee of Council, as required by the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.
