At the 5 December 2023 Council meeting, it was resolved that Council prepare and publish an explanatory note on its website on the prior planning proposal, and where possible the impact of the current state significant development application including explaining the surrounding regulatory framework and particularly Council’s handling of the proposal including relevant decisions made in respect of the planning proposal.

Further to this, Council at its regular meeting on 23 April 2024 resolved to publish, alongside the explanatory note regarding the abovementioned Planning Proposal and State Significant Development (SSD), a table of conflicts of interest declared by Councillors at meetings and workshops where this planning proposal had been tabled to ensure the public has a complete insight in the process and decisions made involving this significant gateway site.
