Strathfield Council is committed to assisting local businesses with recovering from the effects of Covid lockdowns by extending outdoor licencing discounts to all dining licencees.

Council responded by discounting fees throughout the pandemic in accordance with the various levels of restrictions.

Whilst capacity restrictions have been lifted, Council will extend the 25% fee discount for an additional two quarters, with full fees not returning until 1 September 2022.

Mayor Matthew Blackmore says “this Council initiative is important to foster business recovery in our area as outdoor dining contributes significantly to the livelihood of businesses, whilst providing an active and social street frontage.”

“Council looks forward to seeing the return of alfresco dining in our local area as the community rediscovers the many varied culinary treats our eateries have to offer.”
