Street Lighting

Street lighting is installed and maintained by Ausgrid.

If you believe that the lighting in an area is not adequate, Council can undertake an assessment of the level of lighting. If it is found that the lighting can be improved, Council will contact Ausgrid.

In residential areas, Council’s standard is to provide a street light every second power pole, up to a maximum spacing of 80m between consecutive lights.

All reports of street lights not working, graffiti, and trees growing into powerlines, should be referred directly Ausgrid.
