1. Powells Creek Crossings Implementation

This project involves the implementation of three strategic bridge crossings over the Powells Creek corridor, Lorraine Street, Hamilton Street and George Street.

The three bridges will be 3.0m width for both pedestrian and cycle way accessibility.

Construction will include the bridge deck, ramping, signage and other required infrastructure and will connect both Canada Bay and Strathfield communities.

2. Powells Creek Reserve Improvements 1 (Completed)

Completed in 2019, the Powells Creek Reserve Improvement project was established to return unused WestConnex lots into usable, public recreational space.

Extending from Pomeroy St to George St in Strathfield, the project includes a range of facilities such as a large outdoor gym, playground, native plantings and park furniture.

3. Station Street Domain Improvements

The Station Street Domain Improvement project is being implemented to improve connectivity between Homebush Station and Parramatta Road. Taking in Station St, Loftus Cres, Knight St and Loftus Ln, the project will include street tree plantings, new unit paving, furniture and wayfinding signage.

4. Parramatta Road Domain Improvements

The Parramatta Road Domain Improvement project, which runs from Smallwood Rd to George St, is being implemented to improve visual amenity and pedestrian / cycleway connectivity.

The project will include infrastructure designed to increase patron comfort, including street trees, street furniture & unit paving.

5. Bridge Road Domain Improvements

This project is principally concerned with improving active transportation within the Strathfield LGA through the direct implementation / construction of cycleway routes.

A continuous connection from Loftus Crescent to Powells Creek, the project will deliver cycling specific infrastructure, supporting recreational facilities, and street trees geared towards the encouragement of active transport.

6. Powells Creek Reserve Improvements 2

The Powells Creek Reserve Improvement project is multifaceted, addressing a number of key elements to improve active transport connectivity, address ecological degradation and provide a high level of recreational amenity. The project will benefit passive and active recreational user groups.
